Tasks are crucial for managing the appointments and truck movement within the yard.
Tasks can be created automatically (for example, when a carrier checks in for an appointment a task for check in and for truck movement to the designated ramp is created). Or they can be created manually.
You can find out more information on how to create a task manually here.
There are three main movement types
1) Ramp - when a truck is to be moved to a ramp within a warehouse;
It has the destination (WAREHOUSE - RAMP) described under "Destination".
2) Parking - when a truck is to be moved to a parking space;
It has the parking zone and parking lot defined.
3) Gate - when a truck is to be moved to a departure/arrival gate or when a truck is to be checked in/out.
You can either choose the gate movement task to be a move task or a checkout/check in task.
Note: Arrival gates can only be set as Check-In gates
