This guide will cover the basic workflow of creating the reservations and will also cover some FAQs you might have about the process.
Things to remember:
We highly recommend you already have a GoRamp account before making reservations and that you stay signed in. This makes it easy to quickly access/manage your work and everything you need will be in one place. You can find more info about registering here.
If you are working with the same clients often, ask them to invite you, as this creates a relationship between your companies and makes it very easy for you to access their warehouses and expedites the workflow.
If you don't see availability in a warehouse, it's likely due to the client's setup (restriction/cargo limits/etc). In cases like this, it's best to reach out to them directly to see what the situation is, because they have the option to override these limits and make a reservation on your behalf, and then assign it to you.
For registered users
After signing into the system, follow the instructions below:
For unregistered carriers
You will need a warehouse link for the warehouse you intend to book. Keep in mind that each warehouse has a unique link this mean that if one client has multiple warehouses, you'll need a link for each of them.
While the workflow largely remains the same, there are some differences in terms of how you can view and manage your reservations. You can find out more about managing reservations here.
After the reservation
Once you've made the reservation, you will receive the following email, containing all the relevant reservation details:
If you ever need to access the reservation at a later date, please open the email and click on "Open the Reservation" hyperlink, which will take you back to the client's calendar and will show the reservation details.
You can also edit the reservation via the same link.
IMPORTANT:
Unregistered users can only edit/access reservations via the email once they've closed their browser session that was used to make the reservation due to security reasons.
Registered users can also access the client's calendar as a quicker way to make reservation changes.
